Beauty and the Beast…
It has been almost 2 weeks since the Beautiful Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from her husband, Cutie Pie Kris Humphries. And I was jaw dropped on Halloween too, not because I didn’t believe it-but because nobody else knew that it was coming.
Meh.
I find the most awful part of the whole thing that we all were so in love with the wedding that we did NOT care that the couple had not worked on the marriage-it was clear too. While life on reality TV can look exciting and alluring I will take my real life with its boring ups and downs and struggles while knowing that I am authentic, when I wake up and authentic when I go to sleep.
Kim waved her magical wand over all of us-we watched, and nobody sent me a check either. The Kardashians understand the market and feed her what she wants. We cannot be mad that them. The fan backlash has been awful, however.
When behaving like a lady, holding ones self and ones body in high esteem and real (real) living comes back en vogue-these women will fade into the background until the next media monster rears its head.
I simply find it unfortunate that something as beautiful as marriage-not just a wedding-can be trivialized to an E-Special. Kim is the Beauty, but the Beast is our infatuation with the unreal. We have to love the Beauty of our own lives, our own backsides and our own families and not live our REAL beautiful lives vicariously through a box where we let the Kardashians make us feel like our hair, clothes and bodies are not good enough. Get off of that couch, stop talking about Kim and make your OWN reality AMAZING!!
